[GreenKeys] WU Model 100 documentation ( & copy-holder) WANTED

HI David,

I have one Model 105 and have previously owned two other model 100
series machines.
One came with a maintenance manual. Sadly the manual is located at the
museum in storage
at SDSU in San Diego.

I am hoping to make a trip out west in 2012 and will make every effort
to obtain some of the
documentation, tools, and parts I left with the library back in
2002. Even if they do display
the equipment I doubt they would ever operate any of it or use any of
the parts or documents.

As far as I know the entire collection is still in storage with no
date for any of it to be on display.

As far as a copyholder is concerned I could take photos and make a
drawing if you want to try to fabricate one.

Very sad,
Don

Gentlemen (Ladies?):
I have not one but two Western Union Model 100 page printers
(kindly received from Jim (W1JT) in exchange for future consideration)
which I am bound and determined to make run again and speak with one
another.

One has a tag indicating "Removed from Service June 1966", (that's
45 years ago!) which is exactly the year I got one as a teenager and
started having blast with it. So it's a return to yesteryear for me,
but I really, really, don't want to blow-up a bearing. (Both machines
are missing their copyholders which bolt onto the folding cover...hence
the request for hardware.)

So this is a request for -any- WU Model 100 documentation, no
matter how fragmentary. I remember seeing a documentation set purchased
on eBay a while back, and of course I'm kicking myself for not heeding a
nostalgic urge at the time, but it was $100 opening bid and I didn't
think I'd ever actually see a machine again. If that somebody reads
this list, I'd love to hear from you!

Otherwise, Suggestions and Advice kindly requested from any and all
corners!

P.S. I'm absolutely confident that expertise available on GreenKeys
would allow me to do this "by the seat of my pants", but I'm a big
believer in "RTFM", if you get my drift.
