[GreenKeys] OT: Microsoft to support Windows XP for an additional year...

I got the pop up on a machine which I had just spent a bunch of time
cleaning of a virus infection. There was too much on it, not data but
installed apps, to want to start from scratch, even though I had all the
XP etc install disks. So I searched the web and found a way to fake out
their violation of legally purchased rights and the system gave no
trouble after that.
I've called MS paid support for this type of problem in the past and had
them give me special keys to fix the problem, and each time not been
charged, but that gets tiring, and Google faster, so I've just disabled
their broken detection ever since.
