[GreenKeys] OT: Microsoft to support Windows XP for an additional year...

I also agree. In my case I was so afraid of Windows 7 from XP that I had
the drive partitioned and so I could run both. When the PC boots I have
a choice between XP and Win7.

At first my mouse and keyboard got confused and I had to reconnect them
each time. They seem to have gotten used to the idea and now work on
both with only rare instances of not recognizing them

Now having run it for a month I must say I rarely go to the XP
partition except to find a file or folder I forgot information on. When
the PC is cleaned by software it handles both without asking. I found no
interaction.

I have moved many files over and the only thing left to do is Import the
mail, folders, and favorite place. Ive already moved My documents over.

Yes I have to reinstall all those programs that I had before, but by
having the partition I have an easy reference point.

I like Windows 7.

My 2 cents from a Win7 "scardy cat".
