Normally the FRXDs were installed in cabinets supplied by Western 
Electric, in the case of Bell switching systems, or otherwise.  But
Jack has a genuine Teletype cover for the FRXD, which I had not
previously believed to exist.  Still it doesn't include the tape
tank holding the temporarily stored tape.  The ones I saw one time
at an F.A.A. station were not exactly homemade, but must have been
made in their shops or by a cabinet maker, as they were made of wood.
A sloping front with a glass window, and lined with acoustical tile.
I don't remember how it handled the tape, maybe just ran it into the
bottom compartment of the cabinet.  And I guess there was a tape winder
in there to take up the used tape.
