Don
It's possible there were 100A specs I sent you on that unit years ago when you were in California .
I recall sending a box of P.31 specs mostly 15 and 19 machines .
I think these are the last docs I have on the the 9B tty board .

I am looking for documentation on the Teletype 100A Test Distributor.
I received one from Steve Hilsz that is interesting.
This unit was received by an AT&T Long Lines office on 9/25/1945.
It is stenciled to have a 60 CYCLE SYNC MOTOR and yet the gears installed are for a 50 Cycle Motor 102007:
Specifically Pinion 101847 (12 teeth) and Gear 101846 (39 teeth) producing 460 OPM.
The unit came with additional gears that are not shown on the chart that comes inside the unit.
Specifically Pinion 113887 (12 teeth) and Gear 113886 (37 teeth)
This unit also came with a Pinion 98626 (9 teeth) and Gear (98627 (44 teeth) producing 360 OPM.
And with a Pinion 98603 (12 teeth) and Gear 98587 (47 teeth) producing 460 OPM.
These last two sets are shown on the chart as for use with the 60 Cycle Motor 97599.
Makes a person wonder if the wrong set of gears was used for all the tests the Long Lines people made...
The 100A sends a single repeating character depending on it's switch settings...
LTRS, V, M, O, T, or BLANK
The original Bell System Practice for this unit was P31.402 and AB83.801 at some point 9-digit practices superseded these.
The military also used this test distributor with a different designation that I have forgotten.
The primary purpose for this test set was for checking telegraph transmission rather than Teletype machines.
If any of you have any documentation on this unit I would like to receive a scan or borrow a copy to scan here.
Thank you for your time.
