Back it' seems a long long time ago I worked for GTE in a little town on the
northern coast called Crescent City, Ca., as a PBX serviceman our teletype
shop was up in Everett, Wash., so we basically had a one week class in
taking M15 apart and putting back together again. We only had a few M15s
and one M28 ASR at the FAA, so we only did oiling, and some minor repairs.
The ole saying was " get a fly spray can fill it with oil and start
spraying" I think it was a joke Though . The oil I believe was 10W
detergent, and what I remember as far as the smell went was the noise and
the smell of the machine, which smelled good to me, and still does.
