Hi All:
I guess i am going to have to construct my own winder for
the UPI boxed paper. The problem is I don't have enough
room in the teletype display area to feed even one of the
machines from the back, as it will narrow the passageway
between machines too much... I have to maintain at least 3
feet between rows of machines to satisfy fire and
accessability regulations. If one or more was even a foot
out from the wall, that space would be too narrow.
What I will need, then is some type of winding roll which
will hold the cardbaord core well enough that is can be
wound. It would need metal disks on the outside to make
sure the paper winds straight. I will figure out something
for the motor drive...
Anyone have any idea or a suitable paper take-up reel? I
would also like to build this thing so that it would
separate multi-ply paper paper as well, as I have a case of
2 copy multi-ply rolls, even if I had to wind only one ply
at a time and let the other ply gather until I could run it
through onto another roll......
Dave
