True story:
3:45 am... called out to go to the Oak Park Police Station.
February 1969...I think it was...
Outside temperature about -10 degrees F with snow and ice.
Ford Econoline van did not want to start but finally did.
Drove 50 miles to the police station freezing because the
Econoline had a very small 8 inch square heater core and
a very small heater fan. (not one of Ford's better ideas)

The LETS network did not have a good testing arrangement.
The big fat sergeant had knocked the Line Test switch on the 28 ASR to  
TEST.
By the time I got back to the garage it was to late to go home. Had
to work the whole day...  No I do not miss it.

P.S.  Retirement is not so great in this current economy... work while  
you can.

away from where I was based... they would call me at home because Tech  
control and the tty mech on duty

just waiting till next year when I finall retire !  gonna dig my 33KSR  
and 28ASR out of the basement and
build a shack/Shop !  all these problems i keep reading have me  
wanting to get back to work...
who knows may even start a "Reconditioning" business... LOL  NO NO  
24-7-365 Service anymore!
