As far as the Dovetron MPC1000's, I have had many of these and the civilian 
models I had all used the standard IEC computer style AC cords.  The oldest 
one I currently have is the MPC1000C Diversity model, which has that style. 
Perhaps the very first ones had the older cord style, sometimes called 
"business machine" or "early HP."

The Tempests, at least the MPC1000T, use an ITT Cannon 3 pin male MS3106 
series connector for the AC line.  I do not believe the IEC or business 
machine cords meet Tempest ratings.

Most people attack the panel containing the older style business machine 
cord connector with a nibbler or file and adjust the hole as necessary to 
fit the modern and current IEC style cord receptacle.
