I went to school on the AN/FGC-30 in1957 at Automatic Electric in Chicago and helped install it at Ft Detrick in 1958 and at Ft Leavenworth in 1959. I also helped install an upgrade to the switch at Davis CA in 1964. In 1966 I helped remove part of the switch at Ft Detrick to make room for the AUTODIN. I applied for a job at Ft Detrick to work on the AN/FGC-30 and was told by Chick Vandervort that I was not qualified.  John Grimes may know if any books exist.
 
I have parts of the old Stroger telephone switch if someone would like them just come by or let me know on the internet. These parts came from the telephone switch that was installed at Ft Story, Virginia which I helped install in 1957. The parts I have is the Selecter, Connecter, and Linefinder switches.

  All:

  Does anyone have Technical Manuals on the Kleinschmidt AN/FGC-30
  Central Office Teletype System - e.g. Tape Relay Sets???

  The AN/FGC-30s date from about 1950-55 and were used primarily
  by the US Army at Fort Detrick, MD (East Coast Relay) and at
  the Davis, CA West Coast Relay stations.

  Some component units of the AN/FGC-30s have been located
  and purchased and we need the TMs to get them in operating
  condition.

  Any help appreciated,
