Hi All:

This is a re-post of a message I sent earlier, and because
of its tital, I think it might have gotten caught up in an
errant internet content filter (was: Anticipation...)

Here I am, not so patiently awaiting the arrival of a Model
15 (actually a Signal Corps TT-5 FG)...

It was from a gentleman in Boston, and I was able to
arrange to have it brought here by a web site user who
lives in Boston, and was visiting the Island.

I will have it here some time tomorrow afternoon. I can't
wait. Here is a photo taken by its former owner:

It is missing one keytop, which has been found thanks to a
member of the list, and which actually arrived earlier in
the week ahead of the actual machine.

I will let you know how it works after I have a chance to
check it out. I had been looking for a Model 15 for a
couple of years now - back in the mid-80's, I had one which
I used on radioteletype, but before the museum was even a
dream, I gave it away, and have regretted it ever since.

At the same time, I loaned a Leigh KSR-33 to a friend. Last
year, he reminded me that I had done so, and I got it back,
after he had stored it in his leaky barn for 20 years. It
was in bad shape, but I managed to refurbish it, and it has
been on display for the better part of a year now, in a
working demo..

So I hope that I will have the same luck with the Model 15!

Dave
