[GreenKeys] TTY to Ethernet Converter or TTYoIP

Eugene,

It was George Hutchison that mentioned to me the possibility of hooking ITTY into this system. The software he uses to run the ITTY broadcasts supports telnet access; I would need to create a small program that would connect to George's servers and relay that data into a TTYoIP server/channel.

Page 12 of this document describes what is available from the innards of ITTY:

My server 'breathes ASCII'. The ASCII to ITA2 conversion will take place inside the gateway device.

I've contemplated creating up an interface to configure the device from the TTY, but it is a feature that won't appear until a later version of the software. My current plan is to have the device pick up an IP address via DHCP, which it will then print via the TTY. With that address in hand, you can use a computer to access the web based management tool to change the address or any other settings. But ultimately, I would like to cut the computer out of the equation entirely.
