Does anyone here have experience in interfacing these to modern
equipment?

(Which reminds me that I need to take some pictures of the newer model
in my posession...)

The documentation at <http://bitsavers.org/pdf/friden/> indicates that
I should be able to connect these through connectors on the
flexowriter.  I haven't digested all the documentation yet, but I'd
love to hear from someone who has interfaced these in the past.
