Hi fellow GK’ers...
A while back, I posted a query regarding a wiring diagram/schematic
for a Monarch Ham-1 Communications receiver...As I had no replies, I thot I
wud try again with a different approach!
This receiver, was a “Clone” of a Hallicrafters S-120, and the Lafayette HE-40. Outward
appearances are almost identical, but the circuit has many differences, in component values
and wiring.
I am not sure if these radios were ever imported into or sold in the USA or not!
Due to their very low production numbers, one story I have heard is that U.S. Servicemen
stationed in Japan, in the late 50’s, early 60’s may have purchased some of these units there,
and brought them back on their return to America.
So, this time around, I am appealing to our Military/radio friends in the group, who may have info
on this rare receiver...I am in the process of re-furbing one to its’ original condition,
and the wiring schematic wud be very helpful.
I realize this request is a little off-topic, and I apologize for this.
Many tks for listening and hopefully some info will turn-up...
Happy TTY’ing...
