Yes, intriguing. What model teletypes would it fit?
Did you see the other stuff this person is selling? For example, the "RARE WESTERN ELECTRIC TELETYPE WHEATSTONE PERFORATOR". The seller says the keys appear to work and don't stick, but can't fully test because the plug is cut off the power cord.
It seems a lot of hardware I see has the plug cut off the power cord. Why do people do this so often? I can imagine it is for some kind of safety reason, but it always seems strange to me.
