[GreenKeys] GreenKeys Digest, Vol 80, Issue 2

Hello all once again,

In an attempt to be humorous, I apparently have upset all the cat lovers.  To set the record straight, we are just a bit over the edge about the critters too!  Population has varied form 1 to 27!....Cat hair and light machine oil is a standard condiment around here!  Also I have volunteered at Happy Tails, a local private no-kill shelter.  thousands of pieces of cat figurines etc. adorn this home.

I like the teletype, radio and other electromechanical things, She likes the sewing, clothing and musical stuff,  We Both LOVE our KITTYS!!!.  Many ferals have been rescued by us, I guess I should chose my words more carefully.

Anyway, thanks for all the responses about the TU, the 6 pin molex reminds me of something ST- ish, I have an ST-6, this thing does not have enough circuitry to be a 6...although I think AFSK and autostart were options as well as some odd shifts.

If nothing else, the case, meter, transformer, high wattage pot, etc. was worth the price.

BTW, I am now reminded that I need a copy of the ST-6 manual.  I'm sure I have something to trade for it.

And finally, to Mr. George Hutchison, do you still want that dual T.D. cover for the 28 ASR?

Hello to all in the group,
?
Don't ask me why, but I bought that homebrew demodulator from ebay. (It looked like it needed a home....at least I don't hoard cats, we have a normal amount of them!)
?
My question is to anyone who might have looked at it on ebay? (#260655761000) and recognized it as being built from a magazine or some kind of semi-kit?? If so, it would save hours of dissasembly and drawing a schematic for it.? Not many of the connectors have any markings, just the three RCA jacks are labeled.
?
When it arrives, I will take some detailed photos and post them on Picassa or Photobucket. I guess?I will use it to exersize some of my machines with ITTY as they just don't get enough hours put on them.
?
Now, if I can just beat this Hammond/Leslie thing, Or maybe the BA receivers, OR.........

Check the PC boards when you get it. Some of the ST series were
offered as boards only and I think the Flesher was too.

Well, Bob, or is it John?  sure doesn't look like a ST-6 to me.   Not enough
boards and surely not enough 88mH toroids gotten from Elliot Buchanan.
When the ST-6 first appeared I couldn't afford the real thing and built my
own version using only the purchased boards.   Then, a couple of years ago I
bought a real ST-6 on eBay and today it powers my 28ASR.  Of course, I still
have my original creation as well.  You did irritate me terribly with the
cat comment.   I have one "house cat" (neutered) , Dongle who is a great
help around the shack and curls around my neck when I answer emails.   We
did have five litters of kittens this summer and that means that soon I will
have to cut the population down to the ten feral cats I will "over winter".
This is always a terribly painful thing for me but it must be done, of
course.

We have two hammond organs, one on either side of the piano.   Let's see,
the C3 and I can't remember the other one but both use the Hammond tone
generator and full pedal system.

If you wish, I can easily supply photos of machines, shack and cats and,
with some effort, the Hammond's.
