I was a single-workin'-man at the time I would buy my ribbons by
the box at a local stationery store. I usually got black, and I did
get a couple of the purple ones. I was into "green ink" (pens), and
when I found out I could order a box of green ribbons, I did.

Gooey green ink on faded canary-yellow paper...

It's enough to make you sick to your stomach!  :-)
