Dont spray any solvent near plastic parts like the answerback contact area or kybd contacts etc. The codebars that Peter mentioned are usually sluggish with the congealed grease.

Marking codebars will extend out, spacing will not. #1 is at the rear of the bars, 8 at the front. Some machines with ALT kybds send the 8th pulse all the time.
> Also on 33's, the main rule is VISUAL, VISUAL, VISUAL, right guys? No adjustments unless you are sure. Not too much typing till you check the rubber hammer or you will ruin the typewheel. I think thats enuf for now.

Letters are typed correctly. The code bars move.
The (manual) carriage release mechanism behind the keyboard works too.
The rubber hammer seems ok too, for the time being. The AnswerBack functions too, as does the Repeat key.
The tape path is blocked somewhere, but that is a different problem, to be looked at later.
I just found the explanation for the CR mechaniscm (310B, vol 1, page 32), so I'll have to study it tomorrow.
Thanks for your help so far
Nico
