FYI, to remove any remaining rust stains, try a product called Whink Rust 
stain remover.
It is sold in the grocery store in the laundry products aisle.

Be sure to read the usage caution label. It is hydroflouric acid, a close 
cousin to hydrochloric, but with special affects on human cells.
