Hi All:
Well, my test of evapo-rust is in process on the
teletypesetter punch, and for the first time, I have found
a product which lives up to its promises!
This is after 8 hours of soaking. At this point, I am
supposed to rinse it with water, and put it back into the
solution to get rid of the remaining rust. According to
their web site, the flushing is to remove the modified
"sulfur bearing organic molecule which pulls the iron away
from the chelator and forms a ferric sulfate complex which
remains water soluble. This frees the chelating agent to
remove more iron from rust."
The process has so far gotten rid of 90% of the rust, and
completely cleaned off and freed the levers of their rust -
they look like brand new, and no damage from the compound.
I think you will agree the first shot, a before shot looks
like this punch would have been irrepairable before Evapo-
Rust. The levers were originally one solid block of rust!

(I should have named this file 8hrspunch1a but you know
what it represents, and the above link will take you to the
photo taken a few minutes ago)
I will post a "done" photo to the site later today...
This stuff is amazing! Pure Magic!
