I think your 2 cents falls short a bit Andy. Here's why.
There's a difference between "personal chatter" which I assume means 
talking about
communications shelters, ticker-tape machines, linotype etc. and charged 
political
rhetoric.

And Don,

Are you suggestion that conservative capitalist heterosexuals are 
insensitive?
Perhaps you are correct, as they seem highly intolerant of opposing 
viewpoints.

See Andy, this is an example of ad hominem attacks and such. Painting an
opposing group with a wide brush so as to lump them together with all sorts
of (assumed) evil alternatives to the "right way of thinking."

I am more than happy to discuss politics, even with those of an opposing
viewpoint. I find it intellectually stimulating if they can remain 
focused on an
educated discussion of the facts and not immediately fall into the 
quoting of
popular phrases or personal attacks.
