I'll second that. About the only way you're going to do any better is to 
have a
real network analyzer hooked to the feed line.

MFJ makes (or made) two variations. One has a built in VFO, and the other
relied on a transceiver for the signal source.

And George, you're right about the G5RV antenna. It has the same "mistique"
as the Kenwood TS-900 series receivers. Not all that good, but everyone
swore by them back in the late '80s.
