Hi Al,

I have been making a new version of HeavyMetal in the last 2 months,
with an absolute rewrite of it.
I got in contact with Bill Buzbee, the original developer, and we
are currently in a beta phase, and the idea is to release it as open source
in sourceforge or some site like that.

This new version has the features of the old one, plus quite an
amount of new stuff.
        Just to name a few:
- Multisession, works similar to a chat server, allowing to broadcaste
messages to its sessions, or to chat with a speciffic session
- Telnet as client to other systems
- Telnet server to be accessed by any telnet client
- Telnet to another HeavyMetal, and pipe the connection (i.e. connect two
TTYs over internet)
- MSN Messenger connectivity to send and receive messages and commands just
like through telnet or tty
- Tape label with eyeball characters
- Commands can be interactive or issued in a command line fashion
- Now adding different variations of codes is easier than it was
- It should be easy to add other commands, especially to interact to other
messaging services

Perhaps you can help me in the tests? Email me.

        Regards!
