Unusual WUTCo 33ASR
No call control unit. I am not sure how they used these.
When we sold TWX to WUTCo they were all dial-up machines.
WUTCo renamed the service TELEX II.
I am suspicious that this machine was not on WUTCo.'s network
but provided for a local service such as tape punching or a
private line application.

Hi All:
The long awaited ASR-33 arrived today. It was brought here
from PA., by the widow of the late owner. He had gotten it
from the Ohio State University radio station back in the
60's.
It was in far better shape than one would hope for, and
only took me 20 minutes to get going, lubrication, change
the print hammer rubber, ribbon, etc. and freeing up the
platen which had become sticky over the years... It has
been in excellent storage over the years, and was unusually
clean... Sharp contrast to my poor KSR-33 which was kept in
a barn for 20 years! (it by the way, is also now working
great, after a LOT of work.)
It came with absolutely everything, including the back
cover, copy holder, etc... Even a box of paper rolls (an
added surprise when she arrived!)
