Subject: [GreenKeys] MRHS Land Line TTY Circuit Commissioned

Just in time for Night of Nights XI the land line TTY link between the
transmit and receive sites at KPH/KSM has been commissioned. And not a
moment too soon. The voice circuit on 2m, aside from being embarrassingly
incorrect historically, was fading into the noise today. Now we will have a
proper order wire just as was used when KPH was in its glory days.

The system consists on a Model 15 in the control room at the transmitter
site and a military TT-4A/TG at Position 1 in the operating room at the
receive site. This will be replaced by a more appropriate Model 28KSR as
soon as the typing unit is overhauled.

For those on the Greenkeys list who may not have seen the earlier
information about Night of Nights IX, when we will activate KPH, KFS and KSM
and stations WLO, KLB, NMC and NMN will join us on the air please see our
Web site at http://www.radiomarine.org .

The event begins Monday 12 July. It's open to the public so please join us
if you're in the area.

VY 73,

RD
