Hi All:
I am mentioning this on the list as several here have
purchased these high speed military teletypes.
Those being sold, come without their power cables and
connectors to fit the machine. Plugs are available, but so
far, I haven't been able to come up with a manual to
share...
Howevert, I have figured out the plug wiring as of this
morning. The machine uses a Captor RFI filter, and by
tracing back from its output to the plug (which is located
in the Captor filter), I was able to trace out the AC path.
I have verified that B is one side of the AC line, and that
C is ground, and A is the other side of the 120 vac line..
These alphabetical pin designations are printed on the back
of the plug.
I made up a temporary connection using pins off a miniature
octal tube plug, fit them on the correct pins, and now have
it powering up. The machine powers up in an error state -
perhaps because it isn't connected to a loop, or there may
be another problem with the machine. If I get a chance
later today, I will also try my other machine.
