Excellent example.
And "those expeditions leading to making friends and contacts in
other places helps out".
I worked a union shop. Ever try to get an emergency handled? Need a
quick spot-weld on something - GOOD LUCK!
*BUT*
When you know "Jerry in welding" you stop by, and say "Hey Jerr - I
know you're swamped [yeah, - right :-) ] but could you fix this
for me? Oh - and how do you like your coffee - light and sweet? I'll
bet you I'm back before you're done! And Jerry sez: "You got yourself a deal!".
