Jim,
I don't think that would work here.  Our local Radio Shack doesn't even know 
what an antenna is, much less isotropic, hi!!!!!!!!

I still am waiting for the chance to tell some new ham (or shortwave
listener, or scanner buff) to go to Radio Shack and ask for an
isotropic antenna.
