I think it goes beyond your explanation too.....there seems to be peoples
who just decided "I'm going to beat you and win" rather than have a
practical limit they're willing to go to.
I don't believe in going into a bidding war and always go in at the last 6
seconds with a bidding machine. If I get it, great, if not, there's always
another "one" coming down the pipe sooner or later....like the 33ASR for
$1000 and later 1/3 the price....
