John I have never met you, but simply know you as a fellow ham and am
pleased to note that your reputation as a fair and amiable guy
preceeds you. Perhaps we will meet in that great beyond. 73's, from
Harv Smith KC0NNC, and my dad Harry E. Smith W0WUR, and my mom
Margery Moylan Smith W0GQO(sk)
Dad is 88 and a Pearl harbor survivor Navy type guy, and mom was a
hamming house wife type person. I am the oldest of 9 kids. As I
mentioned, 73's, the hobby is made less "bright" with your absence.
Take care.

John and I shared being Navy Veterans, Bell Telephone Veterans, and
Amateur Radio Operators. John was always kind and went out of his way
to share with others.
He shared many interests including the care, maintenance and
operation of Teletype machines and was a frequent contributor to our
world-wide web email reflector known as Greenkeys.
I will never forget John and his positive influence on all he worked
with and supported.
We miss you John!

It was a pleasure to take care of John as a nurse in the hospital. He
had a great smile and a wonderful sense of humor, even though he knew
his time was limited. My heartfelt condolences to his wonderful
family, you all were so good, so patient.
