DDK 9 on 10.100 is always srtrong during daytime here in upstate New York. 
One time I tried to compare copy from the AWA Museum's AN/GRC-46B (R-392
RX, CV-278 converter & TT-98)  with MMTTY using the audio from the R-392.  

Surprisingly, MMTTY couldn't copy DDK 9 at all!!  That is when I realized
that DDK 9 was transmitting 50 baud.. It didn't seem to make any difference
to the TT-98 (though the range adjustment probably could have been
improved).  I guess MMTTY (and other DSP-based systems) are so finely
tweaked, that they don't have much range outside what they are designed for.

Once I found where MMTTY hides the baud setting & changed it, they both
received about the same.

So Larry, what were you using to recieve DDK 9?
