Hi,

I have three different 6S5 tape readers. A wide variety of motors were
fitted; mine have 24 volt dc, 160 volt dc and 240 volt ac. I don't have
circuit diagrams for any of them. The power requirements of the motor is
quite small (6 watts from memory). My guess is that you have a reader
with a low voltage motor. There should be a rating plate on the motor.

The other common option was to have a solenoid to release the clutch;
these tend to have suffix /M on the type number.

I'm away for a few days but will have a closer look at mine on my return.

Regards

Jim
