Hello Everyone,

My name is Joe Giliberti. I work/volunteer at the not-for-profit InfoAge
Science & History Learning Center and Museum, located in Wall Township, NJ,
which is located on the site of a former Marconi Transatlantic Receiving
Station as well as the US Army Camp Evans Signal Laboratories. Due to those
associations, we try to have some exhibits related to our heritage.
We are working on an exhibit dedicated to World War II communications. We
currently have a Western Electric Model 20 teletype hooked up to an internet
connected computer running HeavyMetal 3. As it stands, we can pull in AP
feeds and email to be printed on the tty. We also have a device that acts as
a cell phone to receive cell calls and texts, which has an RS232 Serial port
for communication. The goal of this is for visiting kids and adults alike to
be able to send a text message to a special number, and have that message
print out to the teletype. The only stumbling point right now is getting
HeavyMetal to talk to the cell phone box through the serial report. Can
anyone offer insight? I will get more info on the box itself later on.

Thank you
Joe Giliberti
