George,
if you really want to transmit "European" ITTY
you have to set the mark tone to 1275 Hz and space to 1445 Hz (aka low
tones) for 170 Hz shift.
As far as I know also in the UK and many other European countries this
frequency pair is common.
All of our t.u.'s are tuned to these frequencies. To copy ITTY
"mechanically" myself I had to buy a Dovetron stateside... Even HAL T.U.s
that were exported to Europe use "low tones".
