[GreenKeys] Baud to ASCII conversion hint

I forgot to mention that a "standard" RTTY converter can be used for
the front
end of the PK, bypasing the PK's tone filters.
The Dovetron is a good choice because the tones can be easily
"tuned", a little easier than the ST8000 or ST8000A. This requires
cabling the
TU into the PK.
A simpler method would be to use the RTTY TU in the standard manner
and
adjust the TU's AFSK output to match the PK's input tones/shift. Send
the
AFSK into the PK's audio input, paying attention to the levels. In
this
setup, the TU copies the signal and repeats it out with the AFSK to
the PK. This application is where the ST8000/8000A is most versatile.

And if anyone wants to fine tune their PK-232 to 170Hz shift see:
http://www.qsl.net/k0bx/
and click on the "PK-232 Alignment" tab. Site also has the procedure
for using the ST-8000 as a front end for the PK-232 (works well, done
for both of my ST-8K's).
