Now there's a Model 28 doing what it was born to do!  (Even if it isn't
realistic for wire service news, which stayed at 60WPM for a long time.)

I've been working on a speed converter I built back in the 1970s to
receive at any of the standard speeds and transmit at 100 wpm, as an
alternative to having a gear shift.  Of course today we would use a
programmable controller for that purpose.

Now (they're never satisfied) something I don't need right away but
would like to see someday is a channel carrying the aviation weather
material (at 100 wpm)  F.A.A. was one of the early adopters of Model
28 equipment at 100 wpm for distributing weather data to flight service
stations and other consumers.
