Speaking of TTY Test Equipment – Does anyone remember theTDMS units? They had a 3RP1 display tube, which presented a spiral display! Thepower supply was attached at the back end of the unit. Inside was a mechanical(!!!) - yes, mechanical message generator!!! It was a round printed circuit typedisc with a message encoded on it!!! They were great if you could keep themgoing!
