After many years of a "zero population growth" policy, the Antique Wireless Assoc. Museum has had three buildings donated to it. A new museum with about 5 times the space of the old one is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013. (We have the building, but the former tenants are still in the process of moving out and then much renovation and building of new exhibits will be required.)
The AWA Museum in Bloomfield, NY (near Rochester) has about a dozen different types of teletypewriters, some from the original Teletype Corp Museum. The oldest unit we have is a Kleinschmidt Electric Co. Model 20A tape printer, c1920. Most of the units are working. We also have an operational AN/GRC-46A radioteletype shelter (c1960) and we are working on putting together an AN/GRC-142 radioteletype shelter (c1967).
Most of our collection has come from donations. If you have something you would like to donate, please contact me. However, TTYs tend to be heavy, so getting it here can be a problem. But if you have something very special or unique to donate, we will find a way.
Thanks & have fun,
