Hi Pete,
I'm currently using a HAL ST-6 and a Teletype Model 28ASR for HF RTTY, my original setup from the 1960's and early 1970s.
Yes, there is Amateur radio RTTY on multiple frequencies but limited commercial RTTY that transmits in the clear. One station that can be received is described on the following Web page. I am sure that there are others.:
http://www.dwd.de/bvbw/generator/DWDWWW/Content/Schifffahrt/Sendeplan/Schedule__rtty__01,templateId=raw,property=publicationFile.pdf/Schedule_rtty_01.pdf
Note that the transmissions are 50 Baud - 450 Hz shift, without unshift on space. But you can temporarily misadjust a 45.45 Baud teleprinter to satisfactorily copy 50 Baud by moving the range selector from the 65 - 75 down to the 25 - 35.
For my part, I try to keep electromechanical RTTY alive on HF and will work a sched with anyone interested. I am QRV on 80 thru 10M.
227 DXCC countries worked since December 2004. If the band is opened, I can work you.

The last time I used a TU it was a URA-8A Just recently I've ended up
with a HAL ST8000A. And have been
offered a Dovetron MPC-100,not sure what suffix I think it maybe a MPC-100T.
Comments on which are better or usable ? Others models ?
Someday will get another CV-89 /URA-8A and a 28ASR to recreate my old setup
Heck don't even know yet what RTTY is still on HF, won't have the
SP-600 fixed up till this winter.
