Ya...  you know, I would have guessed it would have been from the Iron
Age rather than the Stone Age...  but we can always be surprised.

They must have invented it right after they got fire don't you think?

Actually, I do seem to remember a scene in the movie "Quest For Fire"
where they use a Teletype to send a message about a saber tooth tiger
attacking a wooly mammoth...
