Hi Guys,

I wanted to let you all know, specially those who kindly answered me, that the beast I mentioned last week, is actually working.

Today I got the custom made transformer (with 6 output voltages so I have several options, for USD 9), and came back home running, to assemble the current source for my teletype.
I assembled the power supply in a protoboard in a VERY untidy way, checked that I was getting 80V 40mA while shoted, and then pluged everything, carefully checked everything twice, and turned the teletype on with a lot of excitement.
And.... nothing... just the usual constant noise clap clap clap..... :(

I spent 30 minutes scratching my head... testing for continuity with my tester everywhere and found that the switch was always open... then went to check the switch AND...
Silly of me, last week I placed a little piece of paper to make some meassurements on the wiring, and forgot to remove it!
After removing it... plugin tty on, the sweet silence when the tty has signal... no more claps... :)
I press the first key, and listen the first clap...

The beast was alive and working! after 30 or so years of being dumped! And I haven't done a very detailed clean on it yet!

After that I checked the tape puncher and the tape reader, and everything works just fine, neat holes, neat messages.

Next step, reassembling the drum station ID, reusing the same combs. It took me like 1hr to figure out how to get my callsign but I got it.. with only one broken/lost comb in the process.

I still have to build a nice supply in a nice box, make the deep cleaning of the tty, and I will then jump to the Interface to the PC...
BUT... I AM HAPPY and TODAY IS A WONDERFUL DAY! :)

Here are 2 videos, rather bad quality sorry I will have to make them again in the near future:

Ok! I want to thank you all for your support.

        Regards!
