As a guy that believes "a POUND of prevention is worth an OUNCE of cure",
I would recommend you put something between the old 33-ASR and your
precious toys!

I suspect that the PDP/11 has a strap on the I/O board for 20-ma
current loop or RS-232 EIA.

If so, post a note and ask "which of you guys found that neat converter
on eBay that interfaces current loop to EIA.

As I recall is was reasonably priced, too.

Again - what is it worth to you NOT to blow up the interface in the PDP/11?
