To All:
www.commcenter-2.com does not require membership
in any Yahoo group. Personally, I am a member of several
Yahoo groups, including commcenter-1. Let it be known that
I do have a small ad on the left asking people to join that
email list, as a favor to the owner of said list. Therefore
anyone stating any membership is required is presenting a
falsehood. Which deeply upsets me. I will be noting on the
page shortly to clarify this.
Our media center page, as well, requires no sign up, however
one can do so, which will eventually allow you to then upload
your own images and files. Currently the lack of security has
not allowed me to open that function. There is also a forum
where anything teletype or military comm can be discussed.
The link is on the main page:

This webmaster takes all inquiries/comments seriously, but
takes great umbrage when someone berates our work publicly
to a email list with potentially thousands of recipients given
false impressions of our work.
My response to the original email is as follows:

/Bob,
Not sure how to respond to the constructive criticism.
None of the errors are serious, nor harmful to anyone.
Many times they are simple oversights or a trade off to
ensure an app will work.
You can get the simple text based web page (no java)
http://www.commcenter-2.net/messages.txt
http://www.commcenter-2.net/messages.html
I'll check the validator and make some changes, although
even that is not perfect.

Upon checking the server logs, see below, one has to understand that
a webmaster MUST accept the simple fact that Microsoft rules the
vast majority of computers, as does IE rank as the #1 browser.
I use Firefox for 99% of my activities. Our site works with Firefox,
Google Chrome, IE, Opera, and Safari.
Henceforth greater effort will be made to be more W3C compliant,
something I agree is lacking on 95% of all websites.
We did have the site setup so that those with HeavyMetal could receive
the same traffic, however since switching to our new server I have not
re-established the anonymous FTP.
Finally, *this is not an experiment*. It is a functioning website, that
while
not perfect, is close as we can currently get to a real military comm center
online.
GLADLY will accept any suggestions, tips, or programming help.
