Hi!

I successfully did this on a M28ASR that sat without use for 35 years.   Before doing anything else, you need to really oil and lube per the documents that I used.

You find them on rtty.com at http://www.rtty.com/development/literature/wubook/index.html  It will take a few hours but there are so many points to miss if you are just working from memory. 

Once that is done and you have protected your investment, check to see the speed of the machine.  Let me know if you do not have the gear charts. 

Also, if you type RYRY on one machine, i there a corresponding and repeatable pattern on the receiving machine?   This could provide a clue in case the speed is correct but you are gaining or losting a pulse.
