I've used that oil on my model 20 for the motor bearings and clutch felts.
It works.  Then I use Royco 27 aviation greese on the heavier stuff.  I'll
probably stick with it on the model 15, when I get to it.  I've heard too
that some have used non detergent engine oil. But finding strait 10w engine
oil is getting hard. Most places only have straight 30w or 40w.

I'm not sure of the benifits of synthetic oils either on Teletype machines.
Oil technology has changed so much in the last 50 years that what ever the
original manuals say may not even be available anymore.
