[GreenKeys] W1AW transmission

Everybody should give some credit to Irv Hoff, W6FFC (SK) who had
a hand in designing the ST-6.

I built my first ST-6 on one large perf board...a long time
before HAL came out with their version.

Setting here watching the W1AW bulletins come in the afternoon.
Surprised at the S-9 to 10 over sigs. Well fired up MMTTy on the
computer to see how it would do. No pleased at all. That's with the

FT-990 and MMTTY with the 4 el 20 mtr beam attached. It has to be
better than this. Turned on the R-388 wlong with the ST-6 and 40
meter dipole at 20 ft. Almost solid copy. A heck of a lot better
than with MMTTY. No other software to compare with so guess i'll
stick with the ST-6 as it's been working for 30+ years and still does

a fantastic job even with weak signals that the computer won't do
anything with except belch bad words with.

Congrats HAL for building such a superior piece of gear.
