When woring int he aerospace industry, things had two color codes.
White for stranded wire, and blue for wire wrap.

Most wire wrap boards had at least 40 sockets on them, and most
cable connectors had 50-100 pins.

There was a reason why I always insisted on a 100% continuity test
before applying power to anything.
