Bill, K7TTY, is a past master at talking to serial outputs on
computers running Windows XP.

If you have some questions regarding what or how to do it, perhaps he
will be able to steer you towards the right solution.

The ITTY Scheduler runs on Windows XP, and the data output as fed to
the tone generator is right out of a Dell GX150 serial port. The ITTY
software has been running continuously for about nine years, and is
the same program as was used for the WA9XHN/WC2XPF teletype
broadcasts we ran around the turn of the century.

It was modified for ITTY so that there is a built-in capability for
the software to listen for and process anything sent in to ITTY, and
put it at the head of the transmit queue.

Bill writes good stuff. 6000 lines of code is routine for him. Look
on his website or go to Bill's Software Lab on WWW.RTTY.COM and check
out the wares.

It is summertime, and he and his wife spend a lot of time exploring
the world on his GoldWing (with attached small trailer), so he might
take a bit of time getting back to you.
