I waited in line at the NSA museum to get hands-on experience with the
Enigma for exactly that reason - to judge the keyboard feel.  And as
you say, it is even worse than a Model 33.

They had an activity for kids that involved decrypting a message on
the Enigma machine, but the kids I saw got tired of it all before
they got the message done.
