Most likely Ted McElroy.  He used to have ads in the back of QST for his
line of high-speed Morse equipment, including some by other manufacturers
that he marketed.  He had a punched tape line operating at up to 500 wpm
or so, and a lower speed line using inked tape that was used for code
practice and training.
